The blowup in Wisconsin is merely the beginning of the same kind of Greece fires we saw last year.
According to unions consisting of civil servants, the solution is to every problem is to raise taxes on the rest of us. Wow, if only I could do that at my job. A bunch of us get together to bang our silverware on the high chair and demand of our employer that they give in to every ridiculous demand. It's Starving The Monkeys 101. Nothing more.
Democrats flee the state capitol when it's time to vote-knowing that they don't have the votes to stop it, but that they must at least be present for the vote to be legal.
I'm partial to Denninger's solution.
The Governor is entitled to fire them all. And he should do so.Word.
Right now.
I caught a blurb of Rush while at lunch. He was raising a fuss that the leadership of the left sits on their hands while their thugnuts using vicious and violent rhetoric.
As if.... Sigh. I used to listen to Rush, but now, I may only be able to tolerate a minute or two. He refuses to get it.
This behavior from the thugnuts is precisely what the left wants. It's what their leaders instruct and program them to do and they dutifully obey. Why would they call for civility now? That's part of the Rules for Radicals. Why would they call for Wisconsin unions to stop comparing Gov. Walker to Mubarak? Or Hitler? It's precisely what they want. Besides if a state like Wisconsin can roll back something this big, then what could more conservative states do? (Note: Coming soon to a state capitol near you.)
Having made a living for 2 decades off the behavior of the left, you'd think Rush would not be surprised or outraged at the leaders of the left sitting on their hands.
Rush and many like him have the ability to steer the discussion, to set the agenda, to go on offense. And they largely refuse. Instead, we get flash stories about what Justin Bieber thinks about America. Or a Journolist who gets treated badly by a mob. Or birth certificate, ad infinitum. (And ad nauseum!) But never enough to actually encourage people to....DO anything.
Rush could be the George Soros of the right if he wanted to-funding the restoration of liberty at every turn. People who have been in this fight a lot longer than me have been saying it for decades and yet Rush and others like him seem pathologically incapable or unwilling to make the leap of imagination. It's not that there can be no common ground (future tense). The reality is that there is no common ground (present tense, right now, period, full stop). Then again, having made millions for 2 decades off the behavior of the left, why should Rush be in a hurry to see it come to a close? Why should any of the “conservative” media like Drudge, Joe Farah, Bill O'Reilly, or National Review be in a hurry to achieve victory that would mean an end to their power, position, and maybe their prosperity?
Perhaps that’s why they all sat on their hands for Restore The Constitution last year.
Perhaps that’s why they’re all sitting on their hands for Project Gunwalker now.
“Follow the money”, right Rush?
On the one hand, it's easy to kick collectivists as enemies of liberty. I'm not so sure the greater threat to liberty isn't posed by Rush and those like him. It's interesting that on the one hand, he and others like him have prospered from the outrage at collectivist tactics and strategy, yet that seldom translates into real results. It's like perpetually keeping the tea kettle at 211 degrees. The pot rumbles a little, a low, wet, gurgly, annoying whistle starts to happen. But never any boiling. Tea Party indeed! It seems like someone claiming to be a leader who was actually interested in victory might have actually...you know, reached 212 and put that steam to work rather than backing off every time the pot made a little noise.
Our founders wrote in the Declaration of Independence,
"...we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor."The attitude typified in the conservative media-and among many "conservative" politicians could best be embodied by this adaptation:
"We pledge to sacrifice our honor for the rest of our lives for your sacred fortunes."To bend a verse of scripture slightly, it is as if they have a form of Liberty, but are denying the power thereof. I therefore crown them as Apostates of Liberty.
I have a simple message for them all:
Join the forces of liberty today, or join them tomorrow.
Some will join today and help the fight. Others though are waiting to join until later-perhaps hoping that if we're wrong. If history is any guide though, then these late-comers to liberty could simply have their own corpses thrown on top of those they refused to help. What an irony, by not succeeding in not being the first killed for freedom, they would still be, "on top of the heap" so to speak.
If you fail to join us as free men to stand up today, then you may join our corpses tomorrow at the bottom of an unmarked pit.
And in the spirit of the Fair Warning to The Collectivists, let me offer a fair warning to the Apostates of Liberty. You may continue to commit idolatry against Liberty, worshipping money as your god while it lasts. But when it all hits the fan, the man who in good times begged for your help while you plugged your ears may not lift a finger to help you when times are bad.
When we get right down to it, the only difference between the Apostates of Liberty and the Collectivists is that the Collectivists have taken off the mask. At least we can know them by their deeds.

Now that's bipartisanship I can support....outstanding.
Great post, as usual.
I just went and read your "Fair Warning to The Collectivists", and I have to agree with all of the comments there.
Brilliant!
I just wonder when it's all going to come crashing down.....
I've been a listener to Rush since his beginnings. I had a vague rumbling in my stomach during the first gulf war. This rumbling got stronger at the start of the current wars. Now like you I want to Puke.As you say "follow the money". Still I listen, for entirely different reasons.
Limbaugh=NRA. Sympathize with some of the concerns of the masses, give them their Three Minutes Hate, but as you say, keep it only simmering, sell books and videos and make a lot of money.
Glenn Beck seems to come closest of anyone in broadcasting.
But then there's this:
http://thehill.com/blogs/hillicon-valley/technology/144255-copps-calls-on-fcc-to-act-on-media-issues
Even hard FACTS contrary to government views just aren't "news."
I have said and continue to say it, the bus as already gone over the cliff - all we are now experiencing is the free fall. There are not enough 'concerned citizens' to make a difference. Party? Right? Left? It's all the same to one degree or another - after the biggest fraud in history (bail out of corporations and banks), spending beyound belief and the pending crash of our economy, who is to blame? Those who say 'the people' can go screw themselves - the game was rigged from the beginning.
Time (I say) to hit the 'reset' button and let the chips fall where they may.
Friend, you have just articulated almost to perfection exactly why I don't listen to Rush or any other of his kind. Lots of talk but nothing's ever accomplished. Thanks for your excellent perspective.
PlainEnglish
Perhaps if you'd listened for more than a "blurb" you'd have heard Rush go on to make all your points about these rent-a-mobs, their leaders and the Dem politicians before you did.
Perhaps if you'd listen for more than a "blurb" you'd realize that the ONLY people pushing the birth certificate "ad infinitum/ad nauseum" are Libertarian bloggers. The rest of us moved on the real damage the 2nd openly Communist presidency has been doing long ago.
Perhaps if you listened for more than a "blurb" you'd know that he pushes people to action EVERY SINGLE DAY. What he refuses to do is to do it for you! He's not going to fund your movements for you. He's not going to get signatures for your petitions for you. He's not going to make your phone calls for you and he's not going to pressure your elected officials for you. Physician heal thyself! aka If you want action then be the action!
I wouldn't be a conservative and wouldn't be politically active/aware if not for Rush. He provided the spark in my life and now I provide my own momentum. But if you've waiting for Rush to come on air and advocate that elected Dems start being made to dance the 'Mussolini Shuffle' then you're going to be waiting a long damn time, thank God...
Shadowfox 24...
I stated that I do listen to Rush every day, all that I am hearing is that the Dems are the root of all evil. The sacred republicans are holy cows that will fix the economy merely by lowering taxes and drilling for more oil. Does he preach for conservatives to actually be conservationist minded ? NO. He say's just consume more buy more.
Solar power, No way
Wind power, No way
Electric cars, No way
Did he serve in the military? NO !
Yet is a huge fan of war.
I listen every day and have a hard time keeping the bile down at times.
No, I definitely am not a liberal !
Nor can I say that I am a conservative, mainly because I refuse to worship at the altar of money.
I am an AMERICAN first.
A man whom believes in God.
And I love my Constitution.
These three things will always be placed ahead of any political party and not necessarily in that order. I will gladly give my life to defend those three for the freedom this land gives me.
Shadowfox 24;
A few of us have taken action at RTC Ralleys and End The Fed events not just going to Vote for the lessesr of two evils. And what did we get for our troubles but Rideculed for our efforts. Crunch time is comming and I hope you are ready cause there will be no taking back once it all starts to unravel and it is unraveling now just look to what is going on in Wisconsin. We Are Now Falling and that STOP atthe bottom is fast aproaching.
And Rush,Beck, and Hanady all are capitolizing on this Failure of America. While they call for peacefull resistance to Tyrants.

Really? Like they haven't been in talk radio for many years? Like they just showed up and suddenly started picking your pockets?
If you don't like them, that's fine, but Beck, Rush and others (I'm not a fan of Hannity) are HUGE influences for Americans to find a better answer than what we've been doing for years. I'm just not sure what makes you think you're going to get a talk show host that screams over the radio for people to take to the streets with firearms and for a violent revolt. Ain't gonna happen. You will never find someone you agree with entirely, but Beck is informing vastly more people in the U.S. as to what's going on than anyone else in talk-radio or TV, period.
I rolled my eyes when Beck so emphatically calls for "Peace", but I realize he also has the FCC drooling over the chance to force his removal, and while some may not like him, he ain't stupid. I don't agree with these guys on a number of issues, but hell, I don't agree with anyone on everything.
As far as Spud's solar panels and windmills.. Go buy 'em buddy. Not even Rush Limbaugh is calling for them to not-be made. He and others simply point out that they're not a solution to jack or s*** right now.
Shadowfox:
I credit Rush with a lot, including contributing to my own political reclamation project.
I also credit a number of other folks, including Jack Dailey and Kim duToit.
But - and it is a big "but" - there comes a time where if you mean what you say, you have to stand.
I will gladly admit that I was wrong when I saw any of those three influences in my life actually on the line.
If Limbaugh, et al, troubles you today, you should have heard him during the Waco siege and the ultimate murders of the Branch Davidians.
Supported the government the whole time and has never apologized to this day for that.
The analogy of the 211ยบ pot is very apt.
We all know these guys are hot air delivery systems, but the hardest thing to watch is how family and friends just idolize them like media gods. Words from heaven!!!
I've told everyone to stop listening to this propaganda and to start thinking for themselves. Do some research and look up facts to see if they even tell the truth.
Then I get 'the look' and silence.
And so here I sit, with my 1 man platoon.(and a dog).

Part of me wishes one of them would grow enough of a pair as to call for a mass uprising.
The problem is that when you have a big microphone, you also have a big target on your forehead.
Look at how the ENTIRE lap-dog/propaganda-corps blamed them all for Tucson, even though EVERYONE knew it was BS.
If they called for a mass - PEACEFUL - uprising, and someone got hurt, the current Regime would put them all in prison. Literally.
This bunch of tyrants is worse than Lincoln's -- and far more powerful.
So... While I WISH they could really be the leaders we need, I understand on SOME (not all, SOME) levels why they're not -- and, having REALLY thought about it for many sleepless hours, I've come to the conclusion that they may well be doing all they can without losing their ability to do anything at all.
What they're doing is better than nothing, and I honestly believe that The Regime would almost INSTANTLY shut them down completely if they even THOuGHT about saying what we'd like them to say.
Do I believe that our current regime is capable of direct threats to their freedom -- or even their very lives?
ABSOLUTELY.
The America of my youth - if it ever really existed at all - DEFINITELY doesn't exist now.
I think these folks are as tightly controlled as Pravda ever was.
Food for thought....
DD
Solar Panels are viable, cost to output is down to $1 per watt.
Only need to mass produce now,and promote.
We must start somewhere...
Nukes can fill the night time gaps.
It's there if we go for it.
Or we can just stick our heads in the sand and let big oil buttfuck us till it runs dry, and we all know what a dry F*#k feels like...
I already have panels and wind, do you ?
I really like Beck, Rush is in bed with big oil and arms manufactures, also big Pharma
( luvs his oxycotin )
That's what I am talking about Rush suporting the Gov. at Waco, Beck and Hanaty would do the same thing Condem anyone that would phyisicly Stand up against Gov. Tyrany, Even if they had every justiable reason to do so. These MEN(?)only want the DEBATE to go on and on and...So that they can continue to cash in on the turmoil.

related- OathKeepers provide an 'entry path' for many people to start thinking (which is a good thing). Yet OathKeepers themselves do NOT act to keep their oaths, to arrest the doemstic enemies who continue violating the Constitution.
They do not show up at RTC rallies either. Hmmm.
Perhaps they are the 'enforcer class' apostates to the Constitution?
opinions?

I agree with some of this post. A lot of these talk show hosts are just trying to make money, I think they do believe it what they are saying, and they just don't realize how bad it really is. I think Beck does know it though, he's got guns, stored food and gold, yeah he gets it. I believe he has to be very careful at this point what he says; he is exposing things that our dear leaders on both sides would rather keep hid. I believe if he called for open revolt, parts of his flock would do it.
Good article; most of us have known for a while that Beck is an opportunist douchebag who uses the rightists to sell books; Drudge and O=Reilly are likewise, no principles beyond self-promotion... like miniature Obamas of the right;
but if we can believe the wisdom of some of our own truly best thinkers, some of the finest minds of the 3% movement and the libertarians, RTC, 2A and such, then none of it matters, it is all over, there won't be any shooting at all and we are all lost, so we might as well hand over our guns and ammo, and pray to the dot govs for their forgiveness and leniency.
That is all that I can make of the posts of recent days; that the gov will keep quietly taking rights away, never a confrontation, and no escape for anyone. It seems that now, among the right wing thinkers, all is lost and resistance is, indeed, futile.
The talking heads on the left are propaganda mouth pieces targeting those who love to have their government steal for them.
The talking heads on the right are propaganda mouth pieces targeting those who love to have their government torture and kill for them.
Anyone who tells you that this broken government system can be fixed by voting for, writing, calling, petitioning, or protesting to the scum that collects in Washington DC..................is working to maintain the status quo in Washington DC. And damn sure don’t want to many uppity individuals thinking for themselves and getting in the way.
Why?
Because they believe, that they are benefitting in some way from the criminal activities taking place in Washington DC.
The left believes that having their government steal from productive citizen the fruits of their labor and give it to the wilfully unproductive, is a good and proper role for government in a civilized society.
They are wrong. Stealing is a crime regardless of who does it. But they believe this none the less.
The right believes that having their government invade foreign countries, torture and murder thousands and thousands of men, women, and children, then implement what they learn there to do the same to citizen in their own country, in the name of security and protection, is a good and proper role for government in a civilized society.
They are wrong. Harming or killing another person in any case other than self defense is a crime no matter who does it. Preemptive murder based on the “they will surly try to kill us if we don’t kill them first” argument doesn’t cut it, sorry, the aggressor is always in the wrong. But they believe this none the less.
Those are just two obvious examples of “benefits” that these two groups of people who comprise the voting majority in this country are not willing to let go.
That is why they must continue to propagandize these two groups of people and encourage them daily to stay in the game, and not think for themselves.
This is why voting, writing, calling, petitioning and, protesting doesn’t matter to the free thinking moral individual. Doesn’t matter who is in power, the government will continue committing heinous crimes against humanity regardless.
I can't argue with the point that - to quote that great genius Dr. Seuss - "This mess is so big, so great and so tall -- there's no way to fix it! There's no way at all!"
I agree.
Voting, calling, writing, faxing, marching and screaming will change little that matters.
I agree.
Still, we **MUST** exhaust the ballot box, the soap box and the jury box before we turn to the cartridge box.
We MUST!
Only when the first three are totally exhausted will the fourth be legitimate.
People are PISSED - and more of them are waking up every day.
Personally, I think the combination of "Gunwalker" and the massive criminal conspiracy that is our entire "financial system" -- from the Fed, through the banksters to wall street -- and its "government oversight" at every level will be enough to bring aboard a critical mass.
Seriously -- answer me this: Do you think that if everyone understood what we read in that Talibbi/Rolling-Stone article the other day, that they'd go back to sleep?
I think it would be torches and pitchforks at a minimum - if not rifles -- especially given how damn near everyone except such fat-cats and their .gov-drone enablers are suffering financially as they never have before!
Which is why I've begun investing much more of my time trying to educate my neighbors rather than try to reach our self-appointed masters in Sodom on the Potomac.
Hang in there, guys...
Just don't be too dissapointed after making the rounds and trying to 'educate' your neighbors.
At least take note of their boot sizes.
@ DD,
The ballot box is exhausted, has been exhausted, was exhausted before I was born into this not so free country.
I accept this, therefore I am no longer a slave to that part of their game.
You are obviously still holding onto what the propaganda machine has instilled in your mind throughout your entire life.
You seem to believe there are only two choices.
1) To play the game as they taught you to play it.
2) To start shooting.
Believe you me...............
If enough of the productive citizenship just flat refused to continue playing the game as the public education system and daily propaganda machines have taught us to play it.
We would be going to the bullet box ONLY in self defense.
Look at what happened in Greece. The government parasite class became violent when their entitlements became threatened.
Look at what is happening in Wisconsin. The government parasite class has taken to the streets, with their violent rhetoric, when their entitlements are threatened. Force them to become self sufficient, with the simple act of not playing the game of “let the government rob the productive to support the unproductive”, and I garonfuckingtee you they will become violent.
There will be no need for the productive class to take to the streets with guns. But one will need to be prepared to feed, water, shelter, cloth and defend oneself for a sustained period of time without relying upon the system.
Let the animals kills one another and defend yourself if they come for you.
I ain’t going to be pretty, but it is going to happen sooner or later.
Hanging on to the illusion that the political system in America can be fixed, or restored to its original intent, and that we must continue play by the rules they taught us, (when they don’t play by the rule book to begin with) is absolute foolishness and denial. To continue to play the game as you have been taught is only to prolong the inevitable.
Which I believe is unfortunately what the majority of folks want. As long as folks have their bread and circuses, and some semblance of freedom I do think they care or have the guts to give true freedom a try.
Oh, well. When living under mob rule one must just go along for the ride until the mob kills itself I suppose.
I’ve just always had a desire to be truly free. Own my own property, do my own thing without fear of losing everything, to a bunch of parasites and thugs.
I know this is a little late, but I just came across this blog.
Regarding Sofa's comment "OathKeepers themselves do NOT act to keep their oaths, to arrest the doemstic enemies who continue violating the Constitution."
That's an extremely interesting point, which I've wondered about myself. I tried to research why there is no punishment for blatantly violating the Constitution, since it's the highest law of the nation. I couldn't really find a good answer. So... where there is no punishment affixed, there is no crime (legally speaking). I must be missing something.
Dave- it seems that laws now only apply to (a) those who willingly choose to accept the yoke of law, or (b) can be compelled to follow the law (through force).
In (a), I accept the constitution as the law of the land. Those who do not accept the constitution, are not bound by it- Without consequence.
In (b), we are compelled through force to follow bad laws. Note that police no longer "protect and serve"; they now "enforce". Fundamental change in mission from serving the public, to serving the state (Solzhenitsyn wrote about this).
Whole groups of 'officials' now consider themselves 'above the rule of law'. They gain power collectively as they empower one another.
Franklin's Republic has not been kept. It is evident to anyone with their eyes wide open: There is no law. Only the rule of men, petty men.
Suggest watching this modern poet:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhpwZsix1lc&feature=autoplay&list=QL&index=1&playnext=2
Once we ackowledge that we are "without the rule of law", then we may wonder where/how to proceed.
Choices?
(1) Acknowledge the scam and join the ponzi scheme; enriching ourselves, gaining favor and position within the 'arrangement'.
OR
(2) Reject the scam. Hold 'oathbreakers' complicit. Seek to not be complicit ourselves. Do not be a victim of the ponzi scheme. Disentangle from contributing to this scheme.
Option 2 is 'taking the red pill'. Then what? Several different methods have been suggested:
(2a) avoidance (do not fly. travel via boat, rather than flying. change jobs. move. go to monastary.)
(2b) restoration of the Republic pre 1913 (RTC rallies, Tea Party, vote, sue, legislate)
(2c) ???
The new ponzi scheme is not sustainable (consider the increasing pace of daily indicators). The post 1913 ponzi scheme has proven unsustainable.
So then what? Short term 'troubles' for sure, but what comes out of 'the troubles'?
(3a) Enforcement State per 1984, Solzhenitsyn.
(3b) Restoration of Franklin's Republic.
(3c) Alas, Babylon
(3d) ???
My summary: We don't know where we're going, but Lysander Spoooner explained how we got into this handbasket; and we are all hoping to avoid the consequences of avoiding reality. We ignored Yuri Bezmenov. Stand by for some old Testament and some Solzhenitsyn.

You've given me some reading topics which I wish to follow up on!
I still feel that the individuals who have violated and continue to violate the Constitution and have stolen much of the liberty that our ancestors fought and died for should be held accountable.
And by the way, I do in fact refuse to fly as long as DHS/TSA is involved.
more and more folks are coming to see that: if flagrant criminals activity is not restrained by jailing and punishing violators, then more and more violations of the Constitution take place.
The magnituide of the violations, and the volume is increasing. More and more folks want to restore the Constitution and the role of Fed.gov to the pre-1913 arrangement (some of us farther than that, but that's for another day). Pre Federal income tax (once again passing through the States) and no 'Federal reserve' (the "Fed"). Wilson and a stacked Legislature changed all the rules, thereby manufacturing the crisis that FDR deepened and took advantage of... which leads directly to this current mess.
Restoring the Constitution and the 'rule of law' are noble goals. They may be unacheivable, given that we've been driven of a legal and financial cliff. But later, maybe we can try to get back to those ideals. or not.
Sofa -
I really agree that secession is the only answer. Let's all just agree on a location...
I know this is old - but since you just linked it again, maybe this will be seen...
Above, in discussing solar, "Spud" said "...Nukes can fill the night time gaps..."
This demonstrates fundamental misunderstanding of the whole thing!
Nuke-plants cannot be spun up / spun down to meet excess demand - they take WEEKS to reach full op temps and MONTHS to cool down!
Ergo you'd have a nuke-plant running full bore and venting the steam it produces rather than using it to drive turbines -- all so we can use solar in the daytime?
Why WASTE the nuke-fuel?
Why not just use NUKE in the daytime then?!
Why have the solar at all?
THINK?!
