The Rodney King Riots.
With h/t to GardenSERF for the link to this video.
"Can't we all just get along?"
A great question for the Spike Lees, the Al Sharptons, the Jesse Jacksons, the NBPP, the Eric "My People" Holders, and the Barack "What up dog" Obamas.
And their answer has ever been. . . . (wait for it) . . . "No."

Justice for Trayvon™
So if all these random beatdowns of white people by black mobs is "justice for Trayvon™", then no riot will be needed when the charges against Zimmerman are dismissed pre-trial or he is acquitted at the trial. . . . Right?
Friday, April 20, 2012
See!!!! Zimmerman IS white!
Since he's clearly white, then he clearly then he must be guilty of any/every charge leveled against him.
To Al Sharpton et al; Can you see the wound on the back of his head now?
Sultan Knish totally nailed this the other day. We are all George Zimmerman.
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is indeed that good men do nothing, but as a corollary to it, those are exactly the sort of men that evil will go after. It does no good to read Burke quotations to a Kardashian society which makes its determinations not on truth or justice, but on its omnipresent need for entertainment. Trying to reason with it only makes it angrier. Talking about virtues and decency to people who have none either confuses them or infuriates those few who understand the concept in some distant way.
In our own way we are all George Zimmerman. We think that society should be moral and rational, and that people should do the right thing. But that's not what it is. It's an insane braying donkey's laugh as the thieves, large and small, rob the people blind and then muscle them into a lynch mob to go after some handy victim. It's George today, it will be someone else tomorrow. Maybe someone who even deserves it. But it won't be the people destroying the country, because they're the ones leading the mob.
Read it all. Read it again. It's worth it.
If you don't want to be George Zimmerman, then you may select another meme below:
Or Jose Guerena
Or Erik Scott
Or Thomas J. Ball
Or TJIC
Or (your name here)
Do you understand?

Failure as a Strategy: The Prosecution of Zimmerman
Alan Dershowitz has this to say about the Zimmerman indictment (video here):
Yeah, I know, Dershowitz ranks somewhere below whale crap with most of us. What if he's right?
In Race Wars I compared the Trayvon™ case of today to the Rodney King saga of 1991-92.
Recall that the 4 officers involved in the Rodney King beating were on trial and the jury could not find them guilty with the charges that were offered.
Recall that the riots did not start when King was beaten, but after the 4 were acquitted.
Fast forward to 2012. If Dershowitz is correct about the quality of the indictment then there’s probably a better than even chance that it is either tossed by the judge or that Zimmerman is acquitted in court. When that happens, cue the riots.
With Dershowitz' comments in mind the George Zimmerman indictment might very well be an exercise in Failure as a Strategy.
If the prosecution has done this poor a job of putting the case against Zimmerman together, then it seems to me that the only benefit of a trial is to provide time for the community organizers to play out the kabuki theater of astroturf outrage that will play out through various "spontaneous" protests and riots.
Which reminds me, I'd like to adjust something from the template of 1992:
Later, I found this story:
George Zimmerman case could hit 2012 presidential race
You think?
Obama has nothing else to run on. He has no accomplishments. No achievements. He . . . needs a crisis.
“Most affidavits of probable cause are very thin. This is so thin that it won’t make it past a judge on a second degree murder charge,” Dershowitz said. “There’s simply nothing in there that would justify second degree murder.”
Dershowitz said that the elements that would constitute that crime are non-existent in the affidavit. “It’s not only thin, it’s irresponsible,” said Dershowitz.
Dershowitz went on to strongly criticize Corey’s decision to move forward with the case against Zimmerman. “I think what you have here is an elected public official who made a campaign speech last night for reelection when she gave her presentation and overcharged. This case will not – if the evidence is no stronger than what appears in the probable cause affidavit – this case will result in an acquittal.”
Yeah, I know, Dershowitz ranks somewhere below whale crap with most of us. What if he's right?

Mea Culpa
In the "Not Newsworthy" story, I have an error to post.
I noted that the motorcycle ride would be on Sunday. I totally missed the date of the article (4/6/12) and the ride which happened this past Sunday (4/8/12).
Story here
Fortunately, there seems to have been no gravel though so I guess that's good.
Isn't it interesting what's "newsworthy" to the (insert Big Metro Paper here) and what's not?
A total bust on my part, my apologies for the error

Not Trayvon™, Not Newsworthy
H/T to Insty for this story that completely blew past me both on PJ Media and on the local Birmingham News page.
Read the story and consider:
Allow me to translate:
I submit to readers everywhere that meat on a plate is food. Meat on a hook is bait. Do not be baited into road rage. If you participate and escalate, it really won't matter who started it. I'm guilty of participating in the past and there but for the grace of God I could have made a real mess of a bunch of lives. I'd like to think that I've learned enough to be quicker to back off. I'm sure that I've learned enough not to blame the bait for my own behavior. If you can't recognize bait from food, then you'll reap bad consequences. But as this event demonstrates, even refusing the bait is sometimes not sufficient.
Finally on the very same page on the Birmingham News site is this story:
Sunday afternoon Birmingham motorcycle ride to honor Trayvon Martin
from the story...
You think The Outcasts will show up? Unexpectedly!
I sure hope there's no "gravel".
But don't worry, if there's problems with gravel, I'm sure that city council members like Roderick Royal will make sure that they are handled to achieve the "correct" outcome. After all, even though the city and county are as spent as a Rick James royalty check, they've declared Trayvon™ an honorary citizen and intend to travel (presumably as a group) to Sanford, Florida to show their support. Glad to know there was enough money for that! There's more than one reason why they call this place, "The Magic City"
_______________
As an update, I have not forgotten about those CW2 hoodies I proposed. I'll try to get something out there and a link posted here as soon as practical. I'll also have to ask Bracken where "Gravel" fits into the cube though.
Read the story and consider:
- In the middle of a busy intersection
- In broad daylight
- A biker gang called The Outcasts
- Birmingham police, Jefferson County sheriff's deputies, Brookside police, and Minor and Birmingham firefighters also responded to the scene that day
- Not one biker was arrested or detained
Having been scooped, the Birmingham News then is shamed into reporting the story themselves although in less detail than what PJM did. Birmingham News makes sure to end their story in CYA mode saying this:
Conservative bloggers have claimed the incident was a black-on-white hate crime, but Adamsville police say it appeared to be road rage prompted by the Mississippi trucker accidentally spraying the motorcyclist with gravel. The gravel must be the cause of road rage. (and the gravel is probably racist too) So what's the excuse for the other 30 bikers who joined in beating and stabbing this guy? Gravel?
Birmingham FBI spokesman Paul Daymond confirmed a complaint was made to the agency and they are looking to determine if any federal violation occurred.No. Stokes didn't cuss the biker or holler at him or flip him off. He didn't hurt any of the 30 or 40 bikers who were trying to kill him in broad daylight in the middle of an intersection. Even though he's white and the bikers were black, it's clear that he didn't violate their civil rights.
Carter said the idea that nobody is doing anything is "ridiculous."Starting with the f**&^ing gravel!
"It was never viewed lightly by the Adamsville Police Department. All I can tell you is in any investigation, there is a search for the truth," the chief said. "We're trying to get to the bottom of it, and prosecute whoever is guilty of wrongdoing."
Allow me to translate:
Birmingham News to readers:
Nothing to see here. Go back to your "style" section, your social calendar, your latest trends at The Summit, whining about 280 traffic, your endless Alabama vs Auburn debates. Ignore those wascally "bloggers" and depend only on us for your local news. Ignore the Mad Max scenario. It's merely road rage. Nothing to see here, please move on . . .
Presumably if this had happened in Hoover, in Mountain Brook, or on 280, then the story would have been newsworthy for the traffic disruption alone. Can't have the Lexus hybrid crowd get delayed on their way to the Whole food Paycheck Market and the Tapas restaurant, now can we?
Presumably if Nick Stokes (the victim) had died, the story would have been newsworthy.
Presumably if the first biker had been killed Birmingham News would have been all over this to turn it into another Trayvon™ story complete with the characterizations of Bull Connor behavior, fire hoses, dogs, and the Klan.
The fact that the managing editor of the paper takes to the comment section to defend themselves to me is proof that BN was not merely "scooped", but instead is well and truly busted.
If I get out the CW2 cube, where does Adamsville show up? Not in a corner. Ah, but gangs distort the cube altogether, don't they?
Setting aside the race of the participants for a moment (and the gravel-which we all know is racist), this is a gang which apparently known to law enforcement. Law enforcement did nothing.
For those of you in the (205), yes…it can happen here. It IS HAPPENING here. What are we going to do about it?
For readers everywhere, consider Stokes lesson learned:
Stokes says the incident was eye-opening for him. “I wish I would have done more to keep from stopping,” he says. “Next time I’m going to keep driving, following my GPS to the nearest police station and I recommend that’s what anyone else in a similar situation do,” he said. “I lived through it, but the next person might not be so lucky.” (emphasis added)
Riders in cities from Seattle to Philadelphia have been asked to wear hoodies, like the one Martin wore the night he died.Check the map. Looks to me like a 3 mile ride. Dude. Seriously? I know gas is expensive, but a 3 mile ride? Seems like hardly enough time to form up before stopping at the final destination.
In Birmingham, riders will meet at 2 p.m. at W.C. Patton Park at 3969 14th Ave. North. The ride will start at 3 p.m. and will end at the BJCC.
You think The Outcasts will show up? Unexpectedly!

Race Wars
So….Zimmerman will be charged with second degree murder.
What's next?
Remember this?
And this . . .
and this...
The same template is being played out.
You think Eric "My People", "Nation of Cowards" Holder is going to get in the way of that train that his boss is driving? Eric Holder is nothing more than a Whitney Houston bodyguard (link) to Obama-or a doctor for Michael Jackson if you like.
And don't forget the most important point, it's an election year. Most candidates for office might consider running on their record, if they actually have one. Obama's record is dismal and the country is teetering. What do they have left? Just like the Gabrielle Giffords rally, fear and smear.
But now it's time to draw contrasts to 1992 template. After all, it is not 1992.
In 1992, the National Guard, the Army and the Marines were eventually sent into L.A. to calm the riots.
"Never let a crisis go to waste", may also be correctly interpreted as, "Don't solve the problem too soon. Wait until it's big enough to be worth solving." Proof?
In 2010, Barack Obama did everything that he could to hinder the repair and cleanup of the Deepwater Horizons oil mess in the Gulf of Mexico. That BP was able to finally resolve it at all was irrelevant to Obama. You remember as well as I do how The Regime handled the symptoms, the problem, and the principals involved.
With that in mind, do you see Obama being the kind of guy who would send in the US Army or Marines to quell rioters in Sanford, Florida-or anywhere else? Or would it be more in character for him to shackle any and all efforts by police or private citizens to defend themselves and/or restore order? Would it be more in character to wage lawfare against any and all efforts that are moderately successful at defending persons, property, or restoring order?
Team Obama will do everything that they possibly can to incite, expand, and perpetuate the unrest wherever it begins in America. And they will do everything they can think of to hinder an end to such unrest.
Oh...and then there's this blurb,
So if it goes to riots and streetfighting, if Obama directs his attention against those who wish to restore order-thus extending the crisis and worsening the damage, then it makes a nice scenario for the blue helmets to suggest that maybe they could "help out". Just saying. . .
Remember what Gandalf says, "They are coming."
Updated:
Continuing to contrast 1992 with today, it's also worth considering that "climate change" has occurred. The cry wolf of "racism" and "racist" have been used so many times since 1992 that a good number of Americans simply shrug their shoulders at it and blow it off. Who could blame them?
Consider this visit by Quannell X and the NBPP to the Houston area in 2007 and the results.
Presumably, X, broadcast his intentions beforehand and folks responded with a "peaceful" rally in support of then 61 year old Joe Horn. I wonder how it would have gone for folks had the NBPP decided to try and carry out the threats they repeatedly make?
Consider the change in the tools and thoughts of Americans since 1992 or 2007. Another set of Rodney King Riots may happen again, but the outcome could be very different.
What's next?
Remember this?
And this . . .
and this...
The same template is being played out.
- Violence against a black person behaving badly
- Media suppression of the full story and/or fabrication of facts (or tampering with the entire jury pool on a national level)
- Race hustlers play on stereotypes to whip up hatred and anger
- A certain demographic expects death for the accused threatening "no justice, no peace"
- The jury cannot reach the "correct" verdict
- Mass riots happen
- The accused will be hauled into court again and again until the "correct" outcome is determined
- It's an election year
You think Eric "My People", "Nation of Cowards" Holder is going to get in the way of that train that his boss is driving? Eric Holder is nothing more than a Whitney Houston bodyguard (link) to Obama-or a doctor for Michael Jackson if you like.
The job for most handlers is not to protect the celebrity from himself/herself. The job is to protect the celebrity from reality around them. Shield them from consequences of their own reckless and stupid actions as well as from any unwashed masses who might touch the hem of their garments. You are about to witness Rules for Radicals, #13 (Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it) being applied with the full force and weight of Leviathan against one man. From where he lives, to what he drives, to where he works, to if he is allowed work in certain places, to where he shops, to whether he has any money with which to shop, to where he keeps what little money he will have left, to his church, to his family, to his very soul. They will never forgive him for living and they won't be satisfied until Zimmerman self-immolates like Thomas J. Ball.

When I saw that Mike Wallace died the other day, my initial, no bull, first thought was, “He was still alive!?!?”
Then I remembered this story I’d read and Mike Wallace’s stance on journalism vs. ethics.
h/t to Insty for the link.
It's worth the read as a reminder of who friends and foes are.

Shorthand
With respect to that whole "unprecedented" thing Obama was talking about, He's a law professor and we're just dummies who don't understand that he was speaking in "shorthand."
Jay Carney takes time out from under Obama's desk to explain.
Shorthand, huh? Well, how's this for "shorthand?"
I suppose I could add the sight picture through the scope, but this is shorthand after all.
Got accuracy?

Fail-Safe
As noted by CA and others, this Pat Buchanan piece with the money paragraph:
Why do they riot in the streets in Europe? Because they still have some sliver of hope that government can deliver on what they foolishly promised.
Why do they foolishly believe?
Because the US backstopped them.
In 1917, in 1944, in the decades-long standoff against the former Soviet Union, with TARP, Stimulus, Quantitative Easing 1, 2, 3, or 20, the US has backstopped Europe.
In Europe they still believe and even expect the US to be that security blanket.
In America, two facts are becoming widely accepted.
First, we're already past fail-safe. When 51% of the people are living off of some government benefit, yet pay no taxes, it's a sound bet that we're past fail-safe.
Second, there is no bailout for America. We've already done this 2 or 3 times and accomplished . . . nothing. So who is left that could possibly bailout America -and what would their motivations be? Let me offer a hint: Creditors. We're past fail-safe.
Third and perhaps most important is the moral decay of ourselves as a people. Arctic Patriot did a great job of covering this ground recently. So does all of recorded history. When morals collapse, so do the walls.
Thanks to the endless supply of cash from the Fed, Europe enjoyed a gentle escalation from unease to discomfort to protesting to civil disobedience and to rioting. With no backstop, America have no such luxury.
Instead, as America has done so many times in our history, we'll be late to the party (in this case, Collapse, chaos, hyperinflation, and civil unrest/civil war), we'll race to catch up with the rest of the world, to do collapse bigger, badder, faster, and farther than anybody. And with no backstop, the US will skip the foreplay and go directly to CW2. Ultimately we'll outstrip them all and once again, the USA will be #1!
We have arrived at the fail-safe point of the American republic. If we do not roll back government now, we will end up having to do it the way they are doing it in Italy, Spain and Greece, accompanied by riots in the streets.Wrong answer, Pat. We're already past fail-safe.

Barack James Response to the Court and to the Country
So it would be "unprecedented" for a Supreme Court to strike down Obama's healthcare law? I think what would be unprecedented is for the Supreme Court to find the stones to actually strike down something that is as bad as this law is which desperately needs to be struck down. Some of the great decisions delivered by this court in recent years include the Kelo decision, the decision that "fleeing from the police" is now a violent felony (6-3), or that if officers knock loudly on the door and think they hear you disposing of evidence that they can barge right in without a search warrant (8-1).
And let's just say that they strike the entire law. After all, who can expect them to read all 2700 pages?
Then what?
Then the healthcare law, will go into a cocoon and wait for the next opportunity for a liberal President and an uber-liberal Congress to propose it again. Just like they did in 1994 when Hillarycare was declared dead. They might change the name on the front. They might even refresh the language inside. Or not-after all, at 2700 pages, who's going to bother to read all of it anyway? These things don't go away, they just get recycled again and again until the tyrant can force it down the throats of Americans.
The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals yesterday fired back at The Regime demanding to know whether they believe that the court has the right to strike down unconstitutional legislation. They want three single spaced pages in reply in 48 hours. Sounds like a teacher assigning sentences to an unruly student. Team Obama's response:
You'll recall my drawing the parallel of Barack Obama as Rick James. We'll call him Barack James. If you've seen the Chappelle Show videos, then you'll remember the couch scene. This scene illustrates the respect that Barack James has for your home, your property, and you. It's what he's telling the Supreme Court. It's what he's telling the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. It's what he's telling all of America.
And let's just say that they strike the entire law. After all, who can expect them to read all 2700 pages?
