At this weekend's Gun Show

A report on the AGCA show Saturday.

Arrived at 8:40, parked on 23rd avenue for free (rather than paying $8 to park on a questionable gravel lot). Walked to the BJCC and saw the line stretched from the front door past the fountain, all the way down Richard J. Arrington. I stopped at I-20 and Arrington. The line began building behind me-how far, I’m not sure.

There were about the same number of vendors I've usually seen there. At 9 AM, the line moved fairly steady towards the door. They were not selling tickets at the window, but routed all traffic through the doors. Inside, the show didn’t seem more busy than some others I’d been to.

Saw 500 rounds of loose 5.56 for $300. $0.60 per round. More than what you would have paid a month ago, but it's as good as I’ve seen lately. Also saw some 7.62 at $0.80/rd.

When we left just before noon, the line was still around past the fountain. I joked with my friend that there might be more people at the show than would be at the BBVA Compass bowl over at Legion Field happening on the same day.
